Kona

Transmissible Venereal Tumor

Kona and her puppies were abandoned in the desert outside of Phoenix. When she was rescued, she was emaciated, required surgery for pyometra, and was diagnosed with canine Transmissible Venereal Tumor (TVT). TVT is a venereal sarcoma that can be treated. It was recommended that Kona had a good prognosis for complete recovery from TVT. Kona successfully endured eight rounds of chemotherapy and there is no longer any evidence of cancer. – 2018
